We are expert at designing bespoke and cost-efficient glass balustrades for all types of structures, from private houses to stores and shopping centres. We have also created balustrades for some of the UK’s most prestigious stadia, including the iconic velodrome at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Safety is critical and issues can arise when balustrades are not constructed to specification or calculations are inaccurate.  Our highly trained engineers have vast experience and achieve the highest safety standards by using the latest software for design analysis.

End user clients often ask for their balustrades to be load tested to check that they comply with the design specification. Some balustrades that are built using traditional methods, but without project-specific structural design, fail when tested. This highlights the importance of a rigorous design process, particularly for barriers subject to higher crowd loading.

Many balustrades use laminated glass, and we can model the effects of different interlayers in the glass in order to produce an accurate and representative analysis.
